A couple of girlfriends and I went on a spontaneous road trip this past weekend, and it turned out to be worthy of a Jack Kerouac novel. Complete with the dingy motel, the 9 millimetre-toting neighbour, and the unsolicited attentions of a former circus performer.
Despite the dubious sound of it, we had the best time and it was the perfect way to celebrate Canada Day and the 4th of July. We’ve dubbed it Adventures from the Winkle to the Naked Turtle!
And so, it is with rosy cheeks and happy hearts that we’d like to announce our Sizzlin' Hot Summer Giveaway! Tell us how you’re spending your summer (in the comments section below) and your name will automatically be entered for a chance to win the Blomus Fuoco Tabletop Gel Firepit.
Share it on Facebook and/or Tweet about it and you will get up to two additional entries.
Answers will be accepted up until midnight EST on Thursday, July 15th and the winner will be chosen at random and announced on Friday the 16th.
We wish you a summer filled with little pleasures and great adventures!
In the ravines of Toronto with my dog. But I won't tell you where because it's one of the last people-free sanctuaries.

In Toronto's west end, aside my mid-century modern bungalow...building a deck, patio and fence. A refuge from the city. A modern retreat with mid-century attention to details and design. A space for friends, family, good food and drink. The perfect resting place for a beautiful blomo fuoco firepit!

After a number of renovations on our new house, we'll be relaxing for a few days in Lake Placid and then kicking back in our pool trying to beat the summer heat and reaping the benefits of our hard labour. The Blomo, if won, will join his mate on my outdoor table and entertain friends for summers to come!
